All undergraduate degree-seeking students will be required to provide a final, official high school transcript or GED before the final day of midterms for the semester for which they are applying. See the for specific dates. Proof of an official, final high school transcript or GED is also required for the disbursement of financial aid, in alignment with the and 91³ÉÈ˶ÌÊÓÆµ institutional policies.
Please note that for a transcript to be final/official, it must:
- Be sent by the institution itself. There are three ways we can accept final, official transcripts:
- Electronically: Your institution can email us at nkuadmissions@nku.edu or send your transcript through a service such as Parchment or the National Student Clearinghouse.
- By mail: Your institution can send your transcript to:

- In-person: You may retrieve your final/official transcript from your previous institution and deliver it to our office, which is located on the 4th floor of the Lucas Administrative Center (the tall building with the clock). Please note that final/official transcripts must be delivered in a sealed envelope. If the transcript is delivered but the seal is broken, we cannot accept it. We are open M-F, 8:15 am - 4:30 pm.
- Include all final grades
- Transcripts with courses that are still in progress are not considered final.
- Include your graduation date
